Dear families,

We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! Last Friday, our class ended our Apple Unit with a surprise apple party. We had apple juice/ apple cider, apple pie and different types of apple slices. YUM!:)

Back to school night was great! A special thank you to those who were able to take a kite on back to school night to donate classroom materials. Your contributions are very helpful and apreciated!!!

This week, we will welcome the season of Fall by starting a 2-3 week unit on Discovering Pumpkins. We will read stories about fall and pumpkins. We will learn about pumpkin science- the life cycle of a pumpkin and parts of a pumkin. Students will learn what color red and yellow make by mixing paints and creating their own finger paint pumpkin! The color of the week will be orange, the shape will be oval and the letter will be I. In addition, to the introduction of the pumnpkin unit this week, we will read I Like me! by Nancy Carison. Students will learn about their bodies and will draw a picure of themselves!

Queridas familias,

Esperamos que todos hayan disfrutado de su fin de semana! El viernes pasado, nuestra clase terminó nuestra unidad de Manzanas con una fiesta sorpresa de manzana. Tuvimos jugo de manzana / sidra de manzana, y diferentes tipos de rodajas de manzana. ¡Mmm!

Esta semana le daremos la bienvenida a la temporada de otoño iniciando una unidad de 2-3 semanas en el descubrimiento de las calabazas. Vamos a leer historias sobre el otoño y calabazas. Vamos a aprender sobre el ciclo de vida de una calabaza. Los estudiantes aprenderán que rojo y amarillo hacen anaranjado mezclado pinturas. Pintaran sus propias calabazas con los dedos! El color de la semana será anaranjado, la forma será ovalada y la letra será I. Además, de la introducción de la unidad de calavazas esta semana, vamos a leer I Like Me! por Nancy Carison. Los estudiantes aprenderan subre sus cuerpos y dibujaran un foto de sí mismos!
